[Phase-3] HIP-63 Quadratic Delegations on the DAO Snapshot

Gosh this is difficult for me to digest, mathematics is not my forte

I read a lot of good opinions though! There are interesting applications of delegations, but we should keep in mind not to replicate the rabid clientelism and various failings of current global voting systems to give people better representation.

  • I can see how quadratic delegations help mitigate clientelism

  • I can see why it would be interpreted as voter surpression of delegations

  • I can see why some are arguing to turn delegations off entirely

  • I can see why some argue the uninformed shouldn’t be voting via delegation in something they don’t understand, or even have no knowledge of in the first place.

What we are tackling with here is, at least in part, an ongoing complex political question:

"How do we give those without the means to fully inform themselves a way to have their voice heard in democratic choices?"

What we can agree on is that said system should be both democratic and NOT easily abuseable.
