The aim of this HIP is to learn some lessons and make some updates on the submission rules as to avoid common misinterpretations and prevent avoidable honest mistakes by submitter.
Abstract
This HIP is motivated by the latest trends in the submission challenges, regarding the submission of black and white pictures. There is not a clear statement in rule #2 of using filters, and jurors and challengers are (incredibly!) interpreting by the “spirit” of the law and jumping into conclusions about what constitutes a breach and what doesn’t. This and other minor amendments could be pooled in a single HIP or each modification could be done separately. It would be interesting to make this amendments and updates regularly, so this revisions could be done in a predictable way.
