Hello everyone,
My name is Ondrej Kästli, and I’m 22 years old from Zürich. Since childhood, I’ve been obsessed with how broken our systems are — political, social, and economic. At this point, I know my life’s mission is to dedicate myself to building new ones.
I’m developing a project called Transparence. The core idea is to create a radically transparent organizational model where:
-
Every transaction, every decision, and every governance process is made public.
-
Projects are documented in real time (video, receipts, data).
-
The system is designed to outlive its founder and scale as a public good.
This is not a “startup” or “campaign,” but a protocol for systemic transparency, open to anyone to adopt or fork.
Why I think this aligns with Democracy Earth
Democracy Earth has been pioneering decentralized governance, proof-of-humanity, and liquid democracy mechanisms. Transparence would complement this by focusing on institutional and operational transparency: showing how resources are allocated, how decisions are made, and how impact is delivered in full public view. Together, these ideas could form the foundation of institutions that no longer rely on blind trust but on visible truth.
Why I want to use Dfinity / Internet Computer
After exploring different blockchains, I believe Dfinity’s Internet Computer (ICP) is uniquely positioned to support this vision because:
-
It enables smart contracts and governance logic to run natively on-chain, without intermediaries.
-
It offers low-cost, high-speed, and scalable data hosting, which is critical for storing transparency records.
-
Its canister architecture allows us to design modular, composable governance tools — ideal for building an open, forkable system.
-
Being a Web3-native internet service layer, ICP aligns with the need to host not just transactions, but media, dashboards, and governance applications.
What I’m Looking For
-
Feedback on how to technically structure Transparence in alignment with Democracy Earth principles.
-
Advice on integrating governance primitives (delegation, quadratic voting, proof-of-humanity) with ICP smart contracts.
-
Connections to developers, researchers, or activists who share this belief: that transparency and open governance are the only way forward.
This is the very beginning, but I know I’ll be working on it until my last day. If you’re building in this space, I’d love to connect, collaborate, or even challenge my ideas.
